This final battle for American civil rights tells me that I am on the side of the former, not the latter. Would I use any excuse I could find to justify my bigoty? Would I agree with "seperate but equal" thinking "as long as those Negros don't violate my institutions?" Would I take a few selected quotes out of the holiest book in the land to preach that those different are evil and should not be given equality? No.

Would I have fought for them? Would I have done what history regards as the "right thing?" Or would I have been afraid of those different from me and tried to keep them lesser than myself. "I've wondered often how I would have acted if I was alive in the late 1800's during the great slavery disputes, or during the 1960's when thousands of African American's stood up and demanded thier equallity, or during the decades of turmoil of women's rights. I thought it was pretty profound and decided to post it here incase I am lucky enough to have some poor sap come along and read my blog.here goes:
